About your Instructor
Hi there, My name is Chris and I would like to welcome you to Safe And Sound Driving School, Warkworth.
I am an NZTA endorsed and approved driving instructor and a member of the “New Zealand Institute of Driver Educators” and have been a long time member of the “Institute of Advanced Motorists”. I also have 18+ years experience driving all kinds of trucks and large vehicles.
In the UK I worked as a Driver Testing Officer for Licence classes 1,2,3,4 & 5 and was an Executive Officer for the ‘Driving Standards Agency’. In my time working as a Driver Testing Officer I conducted thousands of fair and friendly Driving Tests and was known for being the smiley and happy Testing Officer in our area which put the candidates at ease, letting them drive to their best abilities on the day.
This experience is invaluable as a Driving Instructor as I have knowledge of what your Testing Officer is looking for during your test.
I am passionate about spreading kindness and I try my best to be a positive influence on those that I meet.

What to expect from your lessons
We will be driving a Honda Jazz Hybrid which is renowned in the industry as being easy to drive and has amazing all round vision for making those reversing manoeuvres easy peasy. As well as driving like a normal automatic car it can also be used to familiarise yourself with electric vehicle features such as regenerative braking, brake hold and hill assist.
For your driving lessons I can meet you in a convenient place, at your home, or at your chosen testing centre.
We can use an iPad to help us with our learning and then share your training feedback with you through an App, so that you can keep track of how you are doing and what you can work on between lessons.
