Safe & Sound Driving School aims to provide the best possible service for your lessons. If you require any assistance, please contact us, we’re here to help.
We are bound by a professional code of conduct and will be courteous, polite, tidy and punctual. We will behave in a professional and ethical manner at all times, and will avoid any physical contact, with the exception of course, of any emergency or in the normal course of greeting.
The tuition vehicle will be fitted with dual-controls as part of the standard equipment and will be well maintained, clean and tidy.
The car will of course be fully insured for driving tuition.
As per NZTA requirements for ‘Driving Instructors’, we are obliged to keep your training records for a period of 12 months.
The vehicle has a dashcam for training and insurance purposes.
All of the above records will of course be held in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

Fees for instruction are payable via internet banking prior to the day of the lesson.

Safe & Sound Driving School understands that life happens and we understand that plans can change, that’s why we offer a flexible cancellation policy; therefore we offer a 24 hour cancellation notice for all appointments.
For non-appearances or late cancellations, the lesson fee will be charged for the time booked.
If you are sick on the day of your driving lesson it is very important to inform your instructor before 8:00am to re-schedule your lesson. If you cancel after 8am, the lesson fee will be charged for the time booked.
Students must bring their driver's license at all times and wear glasses/lenses if required to drive. If you do not have these, the lesson will be cancelled and the lesson fee will be charged for the time booked.

The instructor has the right to re-arrange any appointments should they become unavailable to attend the lesson for any reason. The instructor will notify you about this as soon as possible.
The instructor will wait for 15 minutes at the pre-arranged pick-up location. If you are late or don’t arrive for your lesson after this time, the lesson fee will be charged as per our cancellation policy.

Students are expected to maintain an appropriate attitude toward driving and their lesson.
The instructor has the right to withdraw instruction before or during the lesson if the student appears (or seems) to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or is otherwise not in a safe state to drive.
Students should maintain a positive and considerate attitude while driving and listen to the instructors directions for safety.
Any abusive behaviour towards your instructor or other road users will not be tolerated.
Please maintain good hygiene standards in consideration of your instructor and others who may use the vehicle after you.

In the car, we’re a TEAM and my full motivation is towards helping you learn to drive safely and in a way that suits your personal learning style; there are no stupid questions.
